Life's both heaven and hell
sometimes hard and dry, sometimes soft and sweet
It would crush you, throw you up and down
or hold you hard, close to the heart
It would push you around like a mighty power
or rage around like a storm in torment
It would meander along like a flowing river
or give out soft, sweet strains of music
Then suddenly it would break down, pent up in grief
looking around hopelessly for some relief
There's never a dull moment you can be sure of that,
it always has some trick up its sleeve
Just you wait and see, you wont be disappointed,
it loves to surprise you, make you shocked or amazed
